Rosies, on Broad Street in Birmingham, is hosting a K-Pop themed party night in aid of Care for Kids, ahead of the charity’s Christmas campaign this year. The night is being run in partnership with promoters, Bang Entertainment, who’s popular signing, DJ GoSu, will be supplying the Korean Pop beats throughout the night.

The bar will be serving drinks garnished with Hello Kitty decorations and there will be a ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’ competition to raise money for charity. There will also be raffle tickets on sale with the chance for customers to win two tickets to the National Sea Life Centre, a premium bottle of vodka and other exciting prizes kindly donated by local businesses.

The bar has organised a UV face painter to ensure everyone in attendance is looking the part, as well as some retro merchandise and inflatables that customers can get their hands on for a small donation to the charity.

Trent Fagan, Deputy Manager of Rosies and the brains behind the evening, said: “There has been a wave of K-Pop events in Birmingham recently and they’ve been gathering popularity. So, I thought I’d go one better with a K-Pop-themed-UV-rave! The team and I are all really excited about it – especially because it is all in aid of a good cause.

“Care for Kids is a small charity that makes a tremendous impact behind the scenes. It is about to launch its Christmas campaign, where it will be focussing on helping children affected by gang crime and domestic violence. Protecting the children of our community is something we should all be involved in, so I hope we can raise some awareness, as well as some money, for Care for Kids.”

The event comes as part of Trent’s participation in Stonegate Pub Company’s ‘Accelerator Programme’. The course is part of its award-winning development programme, designed to give staff the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and proceed within the company.
