The Penny Theatre, on Northgate in Canterbury, will be hosting a tribute evening on Friday 7th June, dedicated to the life and work of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. All proceeds and donations will split between two charities, Mind and the Samaritans which help people who are living with mental health issues.

Customers will be able to support the charities by purchasing advance tickets for £5 http://www.fatsoma.com/ontheradar/7e4edf5g/l1nkn_p4rk-linkin-park-tribute-esther-tides-of-ire or by paying £7 on the door at The Penny Theatre.

During the evening, fans of the late Chester Bennington can expect to hear many of Linkin Park’s songs performed live by the L1nkn P4rk Collective, a line-up of different UK bands, such as locals Esther and Tides Of Ire, as well as My Legacy, Mordrake, Drip Fed Empire, The Delinquents, Bearpit and many more from around the country.

Artist Sam Head also chipped in to help the cause by designing a poster to promote the event.

Jamie Lee Kirkman, Deputy Manager of The Penny Theatre, who organised the gig together with his Event Manager Andrew Kesby, said: “We chose to run this event here at the Penny Theatre, because as a team we really wanted to make a difference to people who need help through doing something we love; putting together a great evening for our customers. We are particularly passionate about supporting mental health and suicide prevention charities such as Mind and the Samaritans, both, to help raise money and also to raise awareness of these important issues.”
