Bank Holiday Family Fun Day for Little Haven’s Hospice

The Lobster Smack on Haven Road in Canvey Island will be hosting a charity fundraising event in aid of Haven House Children’s Hospiceon Saturday 4^thMay.

There will be family-friendly activities taking place all afternoon, ranging from garden games, face painting, cake sales, raffles, live music and much more.

Customers can join in and help raise funds for Haven House Hospice by taking part in activities, buying raffle tickets or simply putting a donation into collection buckets around the pub.

Haven House Children’s Hospice supports children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, offering residential and community services across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire. Staff at the Lobster Smack decided to pull together to help the charity when they heard it had initiated a community challenge to raise £20,000 to enable them to build a new modern hospice, Fair Havens.

Tom O’Dell, General Manager of the Lobster Smack, said: “As soon as we heard about the challenge we were really happy to help. We want to raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause, so please do come along on Saturday to enjoy the fun and support Haven House.”
