The Music Hall Tap on Music Hall Passage in Chester will be hosting a charity fundraising event in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The staff at this modern town pub are pulling together to organise an amusing and lively in-house ‘Bevs and Bingo’ evening.  Everyone is getting involved; with the team leader and bartenders acting as a comic bingo host and bingo caller.
Local DJ, El-B, will be spinning the best tunes and keeping the party atmosphere going until late.

Generous local businesses have donated prizes, such as tickets to the Blue Planet Aquarium and tickets to Chester Zoo, while Top Rope Brewery are treating a lucky winner to some of their vegan-friendly artisan beer.

Customers will be able to support the charity by purchasing a £5 ticket, which includes a free drink on arrival, three rounds of bingo with bonus rounds, as well as the opportunity to buy 2-4-1 cocktails all night.

Abbie Connolly, Deputy Manager of the Music Hall Tap, has organised the event in support of the work that Cancer Research does towards preventing, controlling and curing cancer.

Abbie said: “I chose to fundraise for this charity because cancer is an issue that touches so many people one way or another.  Organising the event has been so much fun – I’ve really enjoyed working with my team to come up with ideas for it, and knowing our efforts are for a good cause makes it all the more rewarding.”

The event comes as part of Abbie’s participation in Stonegate Pub Company’s ‘Accelerator Programme’ – a further training course she is taking part in to begin her first general managerial position at Music Hall Tap.

The course is part of Stonegate’s award-winning development programme, designed to give staff the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and proceed within the company.
