Historic Beverley Road pub The Haworth is reopening its doors next week following a £300,000 transformation.

Situated at the Cottingham Road junction, the popular student pub has been given a full makeover – making it the ultimate ‘hang-out’ destination in Hull. A fresh new bar and distinctive furniture create a welcoming and informal space for friends to meet, mingle and chill, whilst retro game consoles, new HDTV screens, quizzes and other activities ensure there is always something going on.

From football to rugby and NFL, there will be no better place to watch those all-important fixtures and with the rugby league Super League season kicking off in early February, the fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere will ensure there is no better place to be.

The Haworth, formally known as the Haworth Arms, will be open from breakfast until late, with a brand-new menu packed with street food influences and full-on flavours: from vegan plant-based delights such as vegan chilli and rice and jackfruit bao buns to burgers and slow-cooked meats. The pub also offers a great selection of craft beers and cask ales, such as Beavertown, as well as a range of adventurous, infused spirits, delicious smoothies and frappés.

The pub’s weekly programme will tempt both the taste buds and the wallet and includes a combination of entertainment and food and drink offers. Pancake Tuesdays and Wing Wednesdays offer pancakes or wings at only 25p each; Thursdays are host to Speed Quizzing and Fridays always have a DJ on. Bish’s Sunday Service is sure to be a local favourite featuring a night of fun and games with the resident DJ.

General Manager, Elaine Gibson says: “We are incredibly excited to relaunch our pub to the people of Hull. Not only is the new look amazing but our new menu offers a great range of food and drink. We look forward to welcoming everyone in throughout 2019.”
