Faisal Rashid MP visits Stockton Heath’s Slug & Lettuce

Warrington South MP Faisal Rashid took time out to visit Stockton Heath’s Slug & Lettuce recently to see behind the scenes of the sparkle investment that completed in March.

The local MP was introduced to the front and back of house team, learning of Stonegate’s apprenticeships and careers in management.

General manager Emily Thornley said: “It was great to meet with Faisal and show how we have worked to keep Victoria Square buzzing. Keeping up with food and drink trends whilst providing a safe and welcoming environment is what keeps customers visiting pubs and driving local economy.”

Area Manager Andy Palfreyman was on hand to give Mr Rashid the guided tour: “We appreciate Faisal visiting Slug & Lettuce Stockton Heath to see the renovation and to meet the local team.  This investment forms part of our annual £50 Million spend developing our pubs across the country providing enhanced community facilities, creating jobs and careers for people of all ages. Hospitality is an important business sector generating significant income for government and we are pleased that our local MP recognises the importance of British pubs and bars.”
