Slug and Lettuce is launching its new Spring food and drinks menus today Friday 6th March, with the focus on fresh, light and floral in line with the season.

The national bar operator is introducing a host of new breakfast and brunch dishes as well as extending its healthier lower calorie choices to the menu. Alongside the new dishes, the drinks menu has been refreshed, which includes the launch of a range of creative new floral themed cocktails as the bar’s latest seasonal cocktail offering.

Customers can start the day in relaxed style by popping along to Slug and Lettuce for breakfast. A wider range of brunch dishes such as waffles served with a fruit salad, fresh fruit and yoghurt or pulled pork or bacon and egg have been added; whilst children can opt for a boiled egg served with a battalion of soldiers, yummy beans on toast, or a full English breakfast, with a vegetarian option available.

Fresh in for Spring are several delicious new salads including a Lebanese-style chicken salad, an oak smoked salmon salad, using responsibily sourced salmon from the rivers Severn and Wye, and a new mushroom and spinach crispy filo tart served with the house salad.

Flatbread tostadas will become a feature of the new menu with fillings such as Lebanese chicken, sticky Tabasco pulled pork or Black Forest ham with warm roasted butternut squash and Grana Padano shavings. With all food being served until 10pm, it’s the perfect opportunity to try one of the three new tear and share crowns with friends over a glass or two of crisp white wine. Toppings include Manchego cheese, beetroot houmous or smoked salmon and mackerel paté.

Alongside classic children’s favourites, a new mini rack of pork ribs, and two tostada choices of ham or tomato have been added to give sophisticated alternatives to Slug and Lettuce’s younger guests.

New warm waffles served with a choice of fresh fruit and maple syrup or ice cream and caramel sauce, finish off any meal to perfection.

A number of lively new cocktails have been added to the Slug and Lettuce cocktail list for Spring, such as the EEPU ‘Early Evening Pick-Me Up’, a Vodka based cocktail with Midori, cranberry juice and Redbull and the Grey Goose Le Fizz which encompasses elderflower cordial, lime juice and soda. A Very Special Martell Hot Toddy has been added to the ‘Hotties’ section using Martell VSOP, vanilla syrup, lemon juice and bitters, topped up with hot water to warm up your evening.

Slug and Lettuce’s latest quarterly mini cocktail list launches too with a floral theme – perfectly timed for the introduction of warmer weather and the essential start to any girls night out. Fresh and fruity, the cocktails include a lavender martini, an elderflower GandT and a lemon and ginger mojito. Alternatively, customers can try the fruity gin based Floradora, which is served in a teapot with cups and saucers!
