Yates’s on Leeming Street in Mansfield closed after trading on Saturday 16th November to make way for a £200,000 investment that’s currently taking place. The bar is also looking to create ten new jobs, five of which have been filled and the team are still on the look out for those perfect team members for whom great customer service and a sparkling personality shine through.

Owned and operated by the award-winning Stonegate Pub Company, Yates’s will celebrate its reopening at 7pm on Friday 29th November with a special guest appearance from Ricci Guarnaccio from the hit MTV show, Geordie Shore. New to the bar will be a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, a complete transformation throughout, a new dance area and a new coffee offer, using one of Italy’s most popular coffee brands, Lavazza.

A new management team is also in place at Yates’s and they might look a little familiar… General manager, Jez Hamer and deputy manager, Gemma Parry are both born and raised in Mansfield and have returned to their home town after ten years away managing Yates’s in Chesterfield. For Gemma, her return is significant as her first job in the hospitality sector was at Yates’s in Mansfield when she was 18.

“It’s great to be back and we’re delighted to be bringing the new-look Yates’s to the residents and visitors of Mansfield,” said Gemma. “The refurbishment is already starting to take shape and even though the site has some way to go we can really see the potential shine through. We’re really pleased that Yates’s will be open for the festive period and we’re confident that with our Christmas offers and our great customer service, it will be a Christmas to remember.

“Jeremy and I are so proud to be back in our home town and opening such a major investment. We’ve worked in Yates’s for a number of years and know how it can be all things to all people and that’s our goal. A place to start the day off with one of our great breakfasts, somewhere to grab a bite to eat with friends and colleagues at lunchtime, a place to enjoy a meal with family and somewhere you can go for a great party and let your hair down on the weekend. We want to appeal to the people of Mansfield, if you haven’t been to Yates’s in a while, come down and visit us – you’ll have a great time, we promise!”
