Ten new jobs have been created at Poulton Le Flyde pub, The Bull in recent weeks in anticipation of busy trading following a £90,000 refurbishment of the pub. The Bull which is currently closed for a 10-day makeover, will re-open on Friday 16th August.
New general manager Sharron Dumez and her team have a complimentary prosecco and canapé reception planned from 7pm on Friday 16th August to celebrate and are inviting residents of the town to join them. Staff members are dressing up to the nines for a ‘glizz and glamour’ themed night, whilst Sharron’s husband, Brian, an experienced DJ will be taking to the decks to ensure the party rocks until midnight.
Several exciting new changes to the pub are afoot including a dance floor area for customers to enjoy during the regular Friday and Saturday night DJ-led evenings and a new live music night every Thursday, starting on 22nd August. The pub will also open from an earlier time of 10.00am daily for customers to meet friends or work colleagues for breakfast and mid-morning coffees, or simply to while away the morning using the pub’s free wifi facility.
Sharron Dumez commented, “The designers’ plans for the pub look great and I’m sure its customers, new and returning ones will love its fresh new look and warm welcome. The Bull is such as integral part of life in Poulton Le Flyde. Growing up locally it’s always been a familiar landmark for me and so it’s a privilege to now be a part of it next chapter. Much of what our loyal customers love about the pub will stay but we’ve new ideas too and look forward to sharing them with the people in the town.
“Quality, value for money pub food, exceptional customer service, great choice of real ales, wines and spirits, the town’s favourite destination for sports viewing and a warm welcoming atmosphere by day and a lively happening pub by night is what we aim to achieve. There’s a buzz already about the pub’s makeover and we’re looking forward to the people of Poulton Le Flyde seeing it for themselves.”
The pub will open with regular offers including a curry and drink for £5.95 all day on Tuesdays, any grill and a drink on Wednesdays for £7.95 and two for the price of one cocktails from 5pm on Fridays, the perfect way to start the weekend.
The Bull’s mascot, will be out in force during the opening weekend for customers to have their photograph taken with him, with all images available to view and download via the pub’s facebook page.
