Newcastle – under – Lyme High Street bar Missoula, is gearing up for a mammoth weekend of celebrations in honour of American Independence Day this week.
The bar whose origins are inspired by the mountains of Montana, with its chic cocktails and great quality food, is to host three days of non-stop celebrations kicking off on Thursday 4th July with a live performance from the much anticipated ‘Green Day Tribute Band’. Throughout the evening the bar will be fundraising for Help for Heroes with the highlight – a raffle for top prizes including Sandback festival tickets, cocktail masterclasses and bar tabs at Missoula.
Friday 5th July sees the bar welcome special guest DJ, Geordie Shore’s Joel Corry for a one-off late DJ set from 11pm. As well as spinning the decks Joel will be meeting and greeting customers and fans throughout the evening.
During the last day of celebrations, Saturday 6th July, Missoula’s general manager Jay Derrick and her team will be hosting a family fun day. A bouncy castle and candy floss machine will keep the children happy whilst adults and kids alike can try their hand at the numerous garden games such as giant Connect Four. Resident DJ, Martin Quinn will get the Saturday night party started from 7pm and keep its going until 1.30am.
Commenting on the three-day celebrations Jay said, “For Geordie Shore fans out there don’t miss out on the chance to meet Joel this Friday from 11pm”, she added. “He has fast become one of the hottest DJs on the circuit and so we’re thrilled to have him join us at Missoula.”
