A pub in Camden, The Earl of Camden, which is owned and operated by Stonegate Pub Company, has become the latest setting for London-based street artist Pegasus’ work.
The talented artist, whose work includes graffiti images of Marilyn Monroe and Prince Harry around the city, has created his latest work, of Amy Winehouse on the wall outside the pub.
The striking image of the late Amy Winehouse, for whom Camden was her home turf, coincides with a new exhibition on the singer at the Jewish Museum launching today (3 July 2013).
Commenting on the artwork Rory O’Dwyer, General Manager of Earl of Camden said, “We’re really honoured to have Pegasus’s work on the pub’s wall, especially as it’s of Amy who was a Camden girl through and through. The artwork appeared overnight and has already caused quite a stir. We’re expecting a lot of Pegasus and Amy fans to come and see it in person.”
