Generous customers of Bath pub Lamb and Lion have raised £430 for Children in Need.
Staff from the pub organised a full day of fundraising events last Friday 16 November in aid of the annual BBC fundraiser. Lamb and Lion’s very own mascot ‘Lambie the Lion’ took to the streets of Bath to collect donations whilst inside the pub a whole host of activities were taking place.
The Mayor of Bath and his wife popped in to support the fundraising efforts which included various sponsored head shaves, an evening of karaoke with 50p donated per song, a raffle and even a sponsored date for pub regular Betty with the gorgeous boyfriend of Kirsty Taylor, Deputy Manager!
Matt Newman, General Manager at the Lamb and Lion said of the day, “We are really pleased to have raised so much for Children in Need. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible with all our staff, regulars and many people from in and around Bath joining in the fun. A big thank you must go to all the local businesses who kindly donated twenty-three prizes in total for our raffle, including a month’s free membership for four to Fitness First and an Xbox.”
“The feedback from locals in Bath and tourists that visited was really positive, so much so, we now has a taste for fundraising and have several more plans up our sleeve”, added Matt.
