Yates’s on Chapelgate in Retford has raised £502 for Macmillan Cancer Support over just one weekend.
The pub, which is owned by Stonegate Pub Company, hosted a weekend of parties and events throughout Easter which included a family fun day, a treasure hunt, live music from local rock act ‘Double XL’ and even a Willy Wonka’s Golden ticket Party.
Holding manager and event organiser Laura Cree said, “The atmosphere throughout the weekend was just fantastic. People really went to town to dress up for the Willy Wonka party and local businesses were extremely generous with prizes for the treasure hunt. The pub was buzzing and there was such a great vibe about the fundraising. I’m proud of the team for pulling out all the stops and making it such a magical weekend for customers and staff alike.”
