Residents and visitors to Ironmarket in Newcastle under Lyme this Thursday (22nd March) shouldn’t be too alarmed if they spot the odd superhero or two in town; it’s just the Yates team letting everyone know that their new Spring/Summer menu is launching.
One of the new items on the menu is the super tasty, Super Food Salad where customers can choose from feta cheese, steak or chicken served on a bed of mixed leaves, spinach, broccoli, butternut squash and pomegranate with a lime and chilli dressing.
This dish, of course, gives Ben Harvey and his team the perfect excuse to dust down those Superhero costumes they never thought they’d wear and don them with pride as they tempt and tease customers with samples from the new menu as well.
To celebrate the launch of the new menu, the team at the pub will be offering members of the emergency services, the real superheroes in their eyes, a free Super Food Salad or a Super Food Wrap when they produce their ID card and wage slip. This offer will be available from 11am-6pm.
“Now that the days are getting longer and the nights warmer, people are looking to lighter, fresher dishes, said Ben Harvey, Manager of Yates, “so our new menu reflects that change in season. We’ve introduced 19 new dishes in all and enhanced a number of our best selling items, including our burgers which are really popular with customers. There is a new Bombay Burger, for example, which is bursting with tasty great flavours and uses our classic burger topped with spicy curry sauce.
“We’ve also introduced a number of dishes that will see our customers through the day, including our new porridge with fruits of the forest compote or our Breakfast Stack with a tea or coffee for £2.10 – for an extra £1.50, you can boost your breakfast with a Red Bull. With our lunchtime deal you can choose from our new 8inch subs with a range of fillings where you can get lunch and a drink for just £4.95 and of course, our Super Food Salad which is great for those looking for something a little lighter and fresher in taste. If customers would like something on the sweet side, we’ve got a great range of summer desserts including the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake and the Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream Cake.”
