The Slug and Lettuce on George Street in Hove is to close on Tuesday 7th February to make way for a mini facelift. The bar will be revitalised with new furniture, a state of the art lighting system, new toilets and a complete change of colour scheme, both inside and out, using a stylish palate of plum, aubergine, purple and gold.
Slug and Lettuce will reopen to its customers on Friday night and will host a celebratory VIP party from 8pm on Saturday 11th February. The first 100 guests visiting on Saturday night will be treated to samples from the Slug and Lettuce menu and complimentary cocktails with a nautical theme – the ever popular Fruity Sailor – a delicious combination of Triple Sec, Sailor Jerry’s Rum, fresh lime, orange juice and a dash of lemonade.
The team at Slug and Lettuce will also be launching their monthly Superstar Saturday night where DJ Mark Turner will be encouraging people to showcase their best dance moves by playing current hits to old school classics designed to take you back in time.
On Sunday 12th February, Slug and Lettuce will be introducing its first Family Fun Day from 12-2pm in addition to launching its money saving Kids Eat Free promotion, where kids eat free when two or more adults dine. Face painting, balloon art and a drawing competition where one lucky child will be able to win a party for ten of their friends are just a few of the activities that the Slug and Lettuce will be hosting in partnership with local company, We Are Children’s Parties, who certainly know a thing or two about creating a Family Fun Day.
