The Crown and Sceptre, St Marychurch has reopened its doors, celebrating with a launch party for the whole community, following a £180,000 investment.

Lots of individuals from the Torquay community popped into the launch party, to see The Crown and Sceptre’s new look and grab a drink. The pub has undergone a £180,000 investment, with changes being made to the interior and exterior of the traditional pub. The main bar area features cob stone walls, wooden seating, and fireplaces. Also, whilst the function room provides the same look and feel as the main bar area, it has a quirky feature of caps and memorabilia hanging along the wall. There is also a small garden, which will be great for enjoying a drink in the sun.

The pub has two small bars with an extensive drink menu, and delicious light bites which are a great pairing with a drink. The team is also planning some live music events and barbeques for the upcoming summer months, which everyone is welcome to attend.

Richard Ing, Licensee of The Crown and Sceptre, said: “Our launch party was amazing, it was so nice to see so many individuals from the local community come down and celebrate the opening with us. It is great to be able to say our doors are finally open, and we are so excited to see what the future of The Crown and Sceptre holds.”

The team at The Crown and Sceptre cannot wait to see everyone and welcome everybody in for a drink. To keep up to date with upcoming events at the pub, check out their Facebook page http://m.facebook.com/crownandsceptretorquay/
