Local MP for Brighton, Kemptown, Lloyd Russell-Moyle recently visited The Downs Hotel on Warren Road following its recent £1 million investment.
The pub has recently undergone an investment by Stonegate Group, giving the pub a wonderful new look, with changes being made to its interior and exterior. Downstairs, the pub features a large dining area and spacious bar rooms, and the outside has an array of seating, perfect for taking in the beautiful surroundings. As well as having a pub offering, The Downs hotel also has eight premium hotel rooms on its second floor, which are great for a night or two away from home.
During the refurbishment, the pub’s food and drink menu also received a refresh, with an array of amazing dishes now available during breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can pop in any time of day for a bite to eat. The drinks menu pairs lovely with the food on offer and includes options of local and well-known beers, wines and spirits, all housed in the amazing bar. Also, if you like a non-alcoholic beverage, then there are some refreshing low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside well-loved soft and hot drinks.
Lloyd Russell-Moyle, MP for Brighton, Kemptown said: “It was lovely to visit The Downs Hotel and see its amazing refurbishment. Seeing the pub’s new look first-hand was lovely and it was nice to be shown around by General Manager Nick and talk to him about the pub and all the ideas he has for it.
“The Downs Hotel is a real central part of the Brighton community, and it is so wonderful that it is welcoming everyone in again. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Downs Hotel and as it is only just around the corner from my office I am sure it will become a regular!”
