The well-loved Victoria pub in Chesterfield has been welcoming customers back after an uplifting renovation, following a £148,000 investment by the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company.
After its short closure, Operator Lee McMahon and the pub team are excited to share the Victoria’s new look with everyone and get the venue bustling.
During the pub’s renovation, enhancements have been made to both the interior, exterior and garden, creating a modern, relaxing space for all in Chesterfield. Inside still holds its well-known warm, welcoming atmosphere, but now sees new furnishings and fittings and a revamped bar, which is home to an extensive range of drinks, where guests can choose from beers and ciders, wines, spirits and cocktails.
Outside, the beer garden has also received a makeover just in time for the warmer weather. With plenty of seating, table umbrellas, and new AstroTurf, it is the perfect sport to gather with your friends and family and enjoy the sun with a refreshing drink.
Lee said: “Myself and the team are so pleased with our new look Victoria, and are so happy to have our doors open again. I am so excited about this new chapter of the pub and am pleased to how much it has transformed during the investment. The team and I hope you all love what has been done with the Victoria.”
Lee has been with Craft Union for seven years and has previously operated successful pubs and has been in the industry for many years. During Lee’s time in the Victoria, he has gotten to know many individuals in the Chesterfield area and created many friendships along the way.
Community is important to Lee, and the pub plays a huge part in the local area, which is why the weekly entertainment offering has been perfected too. Throughout the week you can pop down, and enjoy Card Bingo, Karaoke, DJ Nights and Live Sports. As well as entertainment, you can also kick back and relax or engage in a friendly chat with Lee and the team.
The Victoria’s entertainment does not stop there, they recently celebrated with its local customers at the reopening launch event, holding a Hawaian-themed party with a DJ, dancing flamingos and plenty of drinks!
Lee added: “Making relationships with our guests and offering them a space where they can use it how they want to, is so important to us. We receive so much support, we love to be able to give back to those and ensure that everyone has some fun with us! We cannot wait to welcome more of you and celebrate the future of our wonderful local pub.”
