Cromwell’s pub in Collingham reopened its doors a few months ago after having a £250,000 investment by Stonegate Group and has been welcoming in members of the Collingham community.
A recent guest to Cromwell’s was the MP for Elmet and Rothwell, Alec Shelbrooke. He was warmly welcomed into the pub by General Manager Hayley Walker and the pub team.
Hayley was quick to give Alec a tour of the transformed venue and tell him all about its new additions. During its renovation, the interior was revitalised and the large outdoor space with outdoor seating was enhanced with the installation of six TVs, so guests can engage with live sports under the sun with a refreshing drink and delicious food. Cromwell’s food and drinks menus were also revamped and extended to feature pub favourites, Sunday roasts and a range of draft and cask ales.
Hayley commented: “We are so pleased with how our recent investment has transformed our wonderful pub. Since our doors have been open, we have welcomed back old and new faces alike, who have been passing compliments about our new look and fantastic menus. The work carried out was the foundation for enhancing the customer experience, and the team and I are pleased to be able to further enhance our guest’s visits, which we loved telling Mr Shelbrooke about.”
As well as talking about the venue’s recent investment, Hayley and the team talked to Alec about the community of Collingham. With regular entertainment, fundraising activities and great food and drinks, there are many ways Cromwell’s brings together the local community. Hayley was also excited to tell Alec about one of their yearly events which locals loved to get involved with, which is Comwell’s Festival. The event is taking place on Saturday 1 July, and after hearing about it, Alec has booked his place to come along.
Hayley concluded: “The community of Collingham is a huge part of our pub, and we love being able to have fun with everyone. We are really looking forward to Cromwell’s Festival this year and cannot wait for Alec to experience the day. We hope to see you all there!
