Local favourite pub Punch and Judy has reopened its doors on 26th May, 2023 after an uplifting refresh throughout. The high street staple will also be hosting a fun-packed launch party on the 17th June.
The pub has recently received an impressive 6-figure investment from award winning pub company Craft Union, and with this, now comprises a fresh, new redecoration both inside and out! Including an uplifted garden space ready for the summer months, a furniture revamp and newly installed lighting to give a lighter, more welcoming feel.
The pub has long been due a refresh, and now in the hands of experienced operator Ted Warren, the changes are clear to see! Ted is long-standing in the pub industry, having run various other craft union sites across the UK, in London, Brighton and Somerset.
Ted, new operator at the Punch and Judy, stated: “We can’t wait to welcome people back to The Punch and Judy pub. I’m really excited to see what the future holds for the establishment, and the refurbishment has made a huge difference to the overall feel of the pub!”
The much-loved local will be hosting a retro-themed launch party on 17th June, which will see a live band playing all the top hits from 80s and 90s, which will bring an old school disco vibe! You won’t want to miss out on a night of dancing and nostalgia with loved ones to celebrate the new-look pub being brought back to life!
The entertainment won’t stop there, as the pub will now be hosting a huge array of different activities throughout the week, including a new pool league, poker night and much more. Weekends will be entertainment-packed too, with DJs and singers across Friday Saturday, and karaoke on a Sunday, so you can sing your heart out with friends and family!
