Local favourite pub the Thorncliffe Arms in Chapeltown is set to re-open its doors this Friday, 30th June after a six figure investment from award-winning pub company, Craft Union. The pub will also be hosting a grand launch weekend across the 30th June, 1st and 2nd July, to which everyone is welcome!
The high-street staple has been modernised throughout, with various uplifting changes which have made a huge difference to the overall look and feel of the pub. There is a new signage scheme in place throughout the pub, to make things clearer and more efficient for customers, as well as new internal decorations to give a more modern, classic feel throughout.
As well as this, there has been a brand-new bar installed, so you can grab your favourite tipple from the latest instalment! The DJ booth has also been removed, and relocated, to give the pub a better layout, and a more spacious, open feel.
Tony and Tom, new operators at Thorncliffe Arms, have a huge amount of experience in the hospitality industry and will be bringing their range of expertise to the pub, to create a space that will become the heart of the local community and bring a real buzz to the place.
Tony stated, “We can’t wait to welcome customers back to the pub after the investment and renovations throughout. We want to give the venue a whole new lease of life, with entertainment, great drinks, and our brand-new bar. We hope bringing our positive spirit to the pub will give the place a great buzz!”
The revitalised pub will be hosting a fun-packed launch weekend across the 30thJune, 1st July and 2nd July. Friday night will begin at 6pm, with a drag act, stilt walkers and fire breathers, who will also feature on Saturday. As well as this, the first 100 guests to come down to the event on Friday will get a complimentary glass of prosecco! Saturday will see a magic show, and further night-time entertainment, with Sunday seeing the pub host a live band!
The entertainment won’t stop here. Tony and Tom are starting entertainment throughout the week, too. There will be bingo afternoons, local darts and pool teams as well as karaoke and DJs at the weekend, so you won’t be short of things to get involved with, with friends and family!
