Popular high street venue The Grapes opens its doors today, following a major investment and refurbishment.
The Stafford town centre pub has been closed for three weeks for the works, which has seen it given a complete overhaul. The project included revamping bars inside and out and creating a new DJ booth and dance floor for the late-night crowd.
There’s a new seating area, furniture, and flooring inside the pub, and festoon lighting has been introduced outside as part of a revamp of the garden.
After a three-week closure, The Grapes is reopening today (Thursday 29th June) with relaunch parties scheduled for the following, Friday (30 June) and Saturday (1 July).
Pub operator Amy Godwin has been at the helm of the pub for five years, following in her father’s footsteps who was a previous long-term Operator at The Grapes.
She said: “Since we have been closed I have had so many people coming up to me asking when The Grapes will be open again because people really miss the place. It means a lot to people and is a great place to come for a fun late-night! It’s a venue for everyone – our crowd really is 18 to 80. There’s nowhere else like it in town.
“The refurbishment has been fantastic. The new colours and design have really modernised the place and customers are going to love it. We can’t wait to welcome them back!”
Customers can enjoy 80s and 90s nights at the venue along with ‘Skint Sundays’ where the jukebox is free all day. There will also be karaoke nights and regular DJs.
The Grapes is part of the multiple award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, who has invested £149,000 into the pub.
Keep up to date with all the events and offers on the pub’s website and on its Facebook page.
