The landmark Railway pub in Lancing is gearing up to reopen its doors on Wednesday 9th August after undergoing a £200,000 investment to bring the best in hospitality back to the local area.
The pub, which is now part of the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company has had works carried out to provide it with a brand new look and feel.
Located opposite Lancing station, the local pub will now boast a stunning new look with new fixtures and fittings whilst keeping its beloved character and charm of a classic British pub. Inside, will be a new pool table and darts board as well as trophies of the pub’s sports teams. The Railway also has a space for private events which can be closed off and is perfect for any occasion.
Outside, the pub’s garden space is perfect for those balmy summer nights, with Astroturf and huts, so you and your friends and family can sit around together with refreshing drinks. New HD TV screens with Sky Sports and TNT Sports have also been installed inside and in the garden so you can watch all the sporting action from any area of the pub.
As well as enjoying live sports, guests can look forward to a whole host of exciting entertainment throughout the week including quiz nights, a live DJ, a meat raffle and free pool. On Thursdays, you can also come and support the local pool team as they compete in the league.
To pair with all the entertainment and new look, the Railway’s drinks menu has been revamped and features all of the classics. Highlights include beers of Fosters, John Smiths, Birra Moretti and Beavertown, wines, and spirits. With plenty of choice, you will be sure to find your favourite tipple.
At the helm and ready to welcome everyone into the transformed Railway are Operators Chris and Iryna Williams. The husband and wife duo have a wealth of experience in hospitality, with Chris previously running large establishments in various parts of South England. Along with their two children, the family are local to the Lancing area and is involved with local groups and charities and will be continuing to support these through the pub.
Chris said: “We are so excited to open the doors and welcome everyone back to the pub for a great time. Iryna, the team and I want to make the Railway a hub for the whole Lancing community and look forward to inviting in new and old faces and families. There is so much going on, we hope to have some fun with you all and cannot wait to make some brilliant memories.”
To celebrate the reopening and investment of the Railway, the pub will be hosting a grand launch party weekend on 18, 19 and 20 August.
On Friday from 8pm-12am, guests can enjoy pizza, a caricaturist, fire breathers and stilt walkers. There will also be a DJ for the evening playing all the floor filler tunes. Saturday is a day of music, as there will be a DJ kicking off the party at 8pm, before a live band providing the soundtrack for the night. Rounding off the weekend will be a family fun day. Come along from 12pm for a performance from a live acoustic band, great food and much more entertainment.
