The Hand & Flower in Ham recently reopened its doors with a new face at the helm and is returning to the heart of the local community by providing something for everyone with its new offerings.

Since opening the doors in March to individuals in Ham, Licensee Simon Day and the pub team have welcomed in many members of the community, showing off the new food, drinks and entertainment offering, not to mention its new features.

Situated in the heart of Ham and a stone’s throw away from Ham House, the 18th-century pub had enhancements made before reopening, which has uplifted the venue. The inside boasts a warm welcoming atmosphere after its redecoration and is the perfect setting for a refreshing drink.

Outside, the lovely spacious beer garden has been completely transformed, and guests can now admire the beautiful fishpond and visit the rescue animal area, as well as soak up the remaining summer sun whilst wining and dining.

Simon and the team have crafted the perfect food menus that are sure to arouse your tastebuds. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you can pop into the Hand & Flower for a spot of lunch and take advantage of their lunchtime offer, or if you are looking for a wholesome dinner option, come along every Thursday for hearty pies. Saturday is steak day and makes for a perfect meal to share with a loved one, and why not bring the whole family along, including your furry friends on a Sunday for a delicious roast. The pub also currently has a Smoke House menu which you can take advantage of and enjoy in the outdoor dining area.

To pair with all the delicious food available, the pub’s extensive drinks menu makes a great accompaniment and features a wonderful wine selection and cocktails for those looking for something more adventurous.

To bring the local community together for a bit of fun, Simon and the team have put together an amazing lineup of weekly entertainment for all to get involved with. Gather your team and take part in the pub’s weekly quiz nights on a Thursday to see who comes out on top. Alternatively, if you are looking for some music, come along for Sunday Sessions from 2pm-4pm, where local artists will be providing the perfect acoustic soundtrack to a Sunday afternoon. To add to the music, open mic nights also take place on the first of every month. Simon is also starting to plan themed nights, so keep an eye out for more information.

Simon said: “I am so thrilled to be at the Hand & Flower again and am thoroughly enjoying meeting you all. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the customers who have been in to support us since reopening a few months ago and to try out our new dishes. It has been so nice seeing everyone over the summer loving our beer garden, especially the children playing with the rescue animals.

“The team and I are having a great time with you all and cannot wait for the future of this amazing pub and love being on the journey with everyone.”
