Community favourite, The Croppers Arms in Marsh, recently welcomed local MP Barry Sheerman following a transformative six-figure investment from the award-winning Stonegate Group.
Operator Kieran Birchall and the pub team warmly welcomed Barry and gave him a grand tour of the pub which has an incredible new look following the investment.
The transformation included two new HD TV screens to catch all the latest sports, the installation of new furniture and fittings and an upgraded kitchen with a new menu, featuring pub classics of burgers and fish and chips. The hotel also received an upgrade with new furniture and decorations, giving it a fresh facelift.
The Croppers Arms weekly entertainment schedule has also been ramped up with regular quiz nights, poker nights and free board games evenings.
During the visit, Kieran, the pub team and Barry were able to talk about the local community and hear some of Barry’s brilliant stories. Barry was also able to speak with customers and the locals to find out what they love about the pub and the local area.
Being an avid wine lover, Barry got a chance to see the Cellar where the wines are kept and discuss all things wine with Kieran.
Kieran said “It was lovely to meet with Barry and show him the transformation of the pub. We were able to discuss the local community and how the investment has helped to refresh the pub and Barry got a chance to chat with some locals which they really enjoyed. It was a pleasure speaking with Barry and we look forward to seeing him again soon.”
Barry Sheerman, MP, said “I thoroughly enjoyed visiting The Croppers Arms and learning all about how the investment has revitalised the pub. It was great to be able to speak with the team and the locals to find what they love about their local and I look forward to returning.”
