Local favourite, The Newmarket, Garforth has re-opened after an uplifting refurbishment throughout by the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, which sees £158,000 being invested. The community hub will also be holding an entertainment-packed launch party across the 29th, 30th September and 1st October.
The high street staple has had a full refurbishment throughout, creating an uplifted feel to the place. The previously raised area has been removed, to create a brighter, larger, and more open social space, and for all the sporting fans out there, two new dart boards and a pool table have been installed!
As well as this, eight brand-new HD TVs have been installed, with TNT Sports & Sky Sports now available, so you can catch all the sporting action with a refreshing drink in hand. The garden area has also been renovated, creating a cosy space to socialise al fresco.
Carol Maxfield, Operator at The Newmarket, said, “I can’t wait to welcome locals back to our fresh new-look pub. Community is at the heart of everything we do, so it’ll be great to get everyone back here for drinks and entertainment. The place feels completely uplifted both inside and out and is a great spot for locals to come and socialise.”
The Newmarket will also stock a new, extensive range of drinks, including the addition of Madri premium lager, Moretti, craft lagers, and all your staple wines, spirits and beers.
On top of the full refurbishment and uplifting refresh throughout, the pub will also now be bringing in weekly activities for everyone to get involved in! Monday will host free pool all day, there will be Tombola Tuesdays, Jukebox Fridays and live sports as well as live music, DJs, a meat raffle on the weekends, and much more throughout the week.
The pub will also host a grand launch party on the 29th and 30th September and the 1st October which will bring together the local community to celebrate the Newmarket’s new look and features, and there will be plenty of fun-filled entertainment for all to be involved in.
