The highly anticipated Popworld Live took place last weekend at Liverpool’s M&S Bank arena, providing guests with an evening of nostalgia, fun and iconic pop hits.

It was the ultimate Popworld party, and it did not disappoint! Over 7,000 partygoers were transported back to the golden age of pop, where they spent the night dancing and singing their hearts out to the poptastic artists.

Gracing the Popworld stage was the brilliant Ronan Keating, Peter Andre, Blue, B*Witched, Claire Richards, Basshunter and Chesney Hawkes, who were massive crowd pleasers and put everyone in the party mood. From Ronan’s soulful ballads, Peter Andre’s iconic moves and Popworld’s very own DJs it was a party like no other!

Popworld Live would not have been complete without dancers and stilt-walkers dressed as icons from the last 40 years, lots of fireworks and confetti, and neon glow-sticks for the crowd, and fans made sure they were all attending dressed in their best attire from every decade!

On top of all the entertainment and pop-tastic tunes, Chesney Hawkes also announced a gender reveal during his set, which was a welcome surprise for the whole crowd.

Anthony Costa from Blue said: “We are so happy to be performing our Greatest Hits at Popworld shows to packed audiences. Pop music from the past 20 years or so is still so popular and that’s great to see! I’ve been myself in the past to watch other bands and they never disappoint.  It’s a great night out if you love Pop music and want to have a top night.”

Pop music is adored around the UK and with these iconic, well-loved pop tunes still being played in venues such as Popworld Liverpool and other venues, it pays testament to a great era of music.

Peter Andre commented: “It is really great to be performing at Popworld alongside artists that I have known for years and am really good mates with. It is brilliant fun being able to perform to different audiences, and I still love it as much as I did when I started 30 years ago!”

Rob Smith, Tours and Events Manager for Popworld, said: “Popworld Liverpool festival was such an incredible night! Everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was great to bring back a variety of music from significant eras of pop for the night. With the success of Leeds, we knew Liverpool would be just as great, and the city known for its music heritage did not disappoint.”
