Located in the idyllic seaside town of Sheringham, The Lobster, which has been closed whilst it has undergone a £465,000 makeover, is set to reopen on Tuesday 27th February with a fresh new look and offering for local guests.

As part of the six-figure investment, The Lobster has received a full internal and external refresh which includes a new bar, kitchen, and refurbishment of seven of the pub’s ensuite guest rooms, perfect for romantic weekend getaways or family summer holidays. The pub’s large and highly sought after outdoor area has also received a makeover, making it an ideal location for catching summer rays and enjoying afternoon aperitifs.

General Manager Oliver McErlain also runs The Crown in Sheringham. He said, “Having spent the past two years at The Crown, it is a great honour to be involved with The Lobster. The care that the Sheringham community has for its history and for its local establishments, is exactly what makes Sheringham the best town on the North Norfolk coast.

The investment into the venue is substantial and we can’t wait to welcome locals and tourists alike back to see the changes that have been made and to celebrate the pub’s new chapter with us. Having two businesses in the town we can secure the future of local jobs and my commitment is to the town and my long-term future in Sheringham.”

The Lobster is a mere stone’s throw from the water’s edge in Sheringham, a picturesque coastal market town in Norfolk that has become a steadfast favourite amongst holiday goers seeking out relaxing seaside stays.

As part of the reopening, The Lobster is launching a competition to welcome back customers to enjoy the brand-new look and feel of the venue. Customers can win a three-course dinner and a weeknight overnight stay at The Lobster by signing up to its database and pre-booking a table during opening week. The competition is live from 27th February to 5th March and the prize must be redeemed by 27th March. Full competition details can be found on their Facebookpage.

Famed for its Sunday roasts, The Lobster reopens with an exciting new food offering including a sensational Triple Roast, with hand-carved beef, pork loin and turkey, served with pork, orange and fig stuffing and crispy pork crackling. Guests can also enjoy their new chestnut Mushroom Wellington, perfectly paired with a side of indulgent dauphinoise potatoes.

Throughout the rest of the week, guests can sample the pub’s Chicken & Pancetta Pie that won Great Taste 2023 and was also a British Pie 2023 Award Winner as well as The Lobster’s succulent red wine and fennel sausages and mash that took home Gold Award Winner at National Craft Butchers Awards 2023.
