MP for Bognor Regis, Nick Gibb, recently visited beloved high-street local pub, the Punch & Judy, to learn all about its transformative six-figure investment from the fastest growing operator-led business, Craft Union Pub Company.

On hand to show Nick around the new-look venue was Operator Callum Barry-Smith Warren who talked extensively with him about how the investment has uplifted the pub and brought the local community together.

The pair spoke about the community engagement that Callum undertakes, including Bingo on Wednesday nights for the elderly, along with DJs at the weekend, and other various fundraising efforts of the pub.

Callum also took Nick on a tour of the refreshed pub to show how the investment has revitalised the space including a furniture revamp, brand-new lighting fixtures for a cosier feel, and an overhaul of the garden area, making the Punch and Judy the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink with family and friends in the upcoming summer months.

Along with this, the site has an updated entertainment offering, where eager sports fans are able to catch all the latest sporting action on the HD TV screens available and test their competitive side in a game of pool or darts.

Before leaving, Nick was also able to get behind the bar and test out his pint pouring skills guided by the knowledgeable pub team who were on hand to help!

Operator of the Punch & Judy Callum said, “It was a pleasure to show Nick around and talk him through the revamp that the pub has gone through. He was extremely interested in our community efforts along with learning all about how the investment has breathed new life into the space, we look forward to welcoming him back soon.”

“The Investment has truly transformed the space.” Said Nick, “It has uplifted the pub and provided locals with a space to gather with family and friends alike. It has been great to learn all about how the pub serves the community and I hope to return soon.”
