Popular late-night venue, Yates Cardiff, has received a £60,000 investment and is set to reopen on Friday 7th June, just in time for the Euros, with a refreshed look and feel. The pub, which will reopen as a Craft Union venue under new operators, now benefits from a state of the art dart board as well as an uplifted bar area.
The much loved highstreet venue is located in the heart of the city of Cardiff, on Greyfriars Road, and is a short walk from the Cardiff Queen Street train station. Yates Cardiff proudly boasts fifteen 4k HDTVs, four projector screens and multiple Sky boxes, making it the perfect sports viewing venue in Cardiff for catching the upcoming summer of sporting action.
As part of the investment and reopening, Yates Cardiff will now be run by Stuart and Rechelle Dalton. The couple are experienced Craft Union operators, having previously run many other South Wales pubs including the Olde Cross Keys in Swansea, which they transformed into one of Craft Union’s top performing sites. Stuart and Rechelle have now relocated back home to Cardiff and are proudly picking up the Yates Cardiff baton.
The duo commented: “We are so pleased to be back home and running a venue as iconic as Yates Cardiff. Craft Union really places the community at the centre of its venues and we are looking forward to getting to know our locals and transforming Yates into a venue everyone can love and enjoy, with plenty of fun events and charity initiatives on the cards. Our wonderful daughter Amy will also be joining us in running the venue, it’s a true family affair and we’re dedicated to making the next chapter of Yates’ story exceptional.”
As a late night venue, Yates Cardiff is open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays and guests can enjoy their Pop Party every Friday night from 7pm and live DJ act every Saturday from 8:30pm till close.
