Popular Crewe pub, The Captain Webb, has reopened after an exciting six-figure investment, marking the start of a new chapter for the community pub.

Named after the first person to swim the English Channel, The Captain Webb closed at the beginning of September to undertake an extensive refurbishment with the popular pub significantly upgrading its facilities.

Located on Underwood Lane, the beloved pub has undergone a full makeover with vibrant contemporary décor and full refurbishments to both rooms within the site.

Both rooms have been fully renovated to enhance the pub’s warm and welcoming atmosphere, offering locals a cosier experience as they enjoy one of The Captain Webb’s fantastic selection of tipples.

The much-loved pub has solidified its reputation as Crewe’s go-to spot for sports, thanks to the installation of several new HD TVs, allowing fans to catch all the action in top-notch quality.

As part of the work completed, the popular pub will now have major sports channels such as Sky Sports and TNT, allowing sports fans to enjoy every major sporting event.

A brand-new state-of-the-art audio-visual system has been installed to provide one of the best quality sport experiences in the area. Whether it’s Premier League, F1, Cricket or Boxing, The Captain Webb has you covered.

The pub’s sports offering has been further enhanced with an upgraded games room, now featuring a dedicated darts area and a practice space for the pub’s team, which accompanies the existing pool table. The enhanced darts experience invites players of all skill levels to step up to the oche and have a match with a mate.

Four-legged friends are welcome throughout the pub, making it a popular spot for dog walkers who want to pop in for a pint with their pooch.

The Captain Webb also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area. There is also an extensive no and low alcohol offering, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

“We believe the refurbishments have not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub’s community spirit, which at the centre of our thoughts during the investment.
