Popular North Yorkshire pub, the Talbot Hotel, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment.

The pub originally closed at the beginning of November to undergo its transformation, with hard work taking place behind the scenes to add new features.

The decorative work includes pristine new carpets alongside an increase in covers as additional plush bench seating has been installed, while adjustments have been made to the bar layout to allow for quicker service.

Located on Market Place, this much-loved pub has become Richmond’s go-to destination for pub sports. With a brand-new sports area featuring dartboards, locals are encouraged to channel their inner Luke Littler and join the fun.

The pub is also equipped with HD TVs showcasing Sky Sports and TNT Sports, meaning you can enjoy some arrows while not missing a second of the action.

High-level furnishings throughout the site will create a newfound sense of comfort while sitting back and relaxing after a long day.

Situated near popular walking routes, this community pub is a favourite stop for dog owners, welcoming four-legged friends throughout and offering the perfect spot to enjoy a pint with your pooch.

The Talbot Hotel also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area. However, the pub also has an extensive offering of no and low alcohol offerings, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Kicking off the reopening in style, a special country singer, Ricky West, will be performing an array of country hits from 5-7pm followed by a special Thursday night karaoke, where guests are invited to find their inner George Michael. All are invited down for what is set to be an unmissable night of entertainment.

Michelle Atkins, Operator of the Talbot Hotel, said: “We’re excited to welcome locals back to our newly refurbished pub and have planned a lineup of fun reopening events coming up for all to enjoy!”

“We know the work completed has not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub’s community spirit, which was at the heart of our thoughts during the investment.

“We’re thrilled with our first-class beer range at competitive prices, and we cannot wait to showcase all the new features we have been working hard on behind the scenes for guests to enjoy.”

The Talbot Hotel’s jam-packed weekly schedule always provides guest with a reason to visit, with Monday night’s Open the Box, Tuesday Race Day and Wednesday’s special Killer Darts night.

You can try your luck on Thursday’s Dominoes while the back end of the week sees Friday and Saturday night bring the party to Richmond, with local DJs and karaoke entertaining guests late into the night.
