The Market House, Glastonbury has opened its doors to guests once more, following a £260,000 investment. The investment sees 16 jobs created.
Situated in the heart of Glastonbury, this popular local pub is the perfect place to stop for a drink and bite to eat, or a stay if you are looking for a night away. The Market House has remained a hub for the community but with a more modern and fresher feel. The pub has lots of tables, so there is space for everyone, whether it’s a table for two, a family lunch or larger groups. The bar has been extended to provide more space and to hold a wide range of drinks. Five television screens have been installed, soon to be six, with sports packages including Sky Sports and BT Sports, which makes The Market House the perfect place to grab a drink with friends and watch the sporting action.
As well as being a local community pub, The Market House has six beautiful rooms available for you to stay in. Whether you are visiting Glastonbury for its amazing events or you are looking for a country escape, this is definitely a place for all ventures.
The Market House reopens with a brand new, delicious menu. There are so many classic pub dishes to choose between, from a wide selection of dinner options to crowd-pleasing sharing dishes, and comforting pies and light bites. On Sundays, The Market House also serve Sunday roasts, with all your favourite cuts of meat and all the trimmings, there is something for everybody at the table especially with vegetarian and kid’s options available too. Breakfast is served daily, with options including a Full English and Breakfast Wrap. Food is served from 8am to 9pm daily, making it the perfect place to pop in any day of the week.
There is also an extensive drinks menu that includes cocktails that we all know and love, and an array of local and regional beers and cask ales, which include Funky Monkey, Thatchers and Carlsberg. The local cask ales will be changed frequently offering a range of variety. The Market House also have 2 for 1 glasses and pitchers available at specified times and not to mention their Gin Tree for sharing. You will certainly find your favourite tipple here.

The Market House will be screening a variety of sports including Premier League football matches and Six Nations and other sporting events throughout the year. They are also hosting Quiz Nights, with the first one being on Thursday 10 March and will continue every Thursday followed by open mic night. There will also be regular quiz nights on Sundays too, which will be followed by Jukebox Bingo. The Market House also has DJ nights on Fridays and Live Music on Saturdays. The Market House has some exciting events coming up, including St Patrick’s Day, where the night will be like one big party with live music and endless amounts of Guinness.
