The Waterside Inn, Ware has opened its doors to guests once more, following a £300,000 investment. The exciting new chapter in this landmark Inn’s story sees ten new jobs created in the local area. The Waterside Inn is the perfect location for a riverside pitstop.
On the banks of the River Lea, The Waterside Inn has bags of character. Keeping all of its traditional charm firmly in place, the newly refreshed Waterside Inn is making the most of the location that makes it so aptly named. Voted Best Pub Garden in the 2017 Publican Awards, the Inn’s garden now has seating for all weathers and occasions. From traditional picnic-style tables to sunlit café style seating, shaded nooks and cosy-covered areas – there really is no reason to wait until summer to enjoy this fabulous location. The team can’t promise the weather, but they can guarantee the proximity to the River Lea and beautiful local scenery. Come for the views and stay for the food, drink and hospitality.
Inside too, The Waterside Inn is all about marrying traditional character with modern style. The building is spacious and flooded with light. These clean lines are now complimented with an eclectic, rustic décor that feels both elegant and welcoming. With seating from comfortable booths to generous family tables and window seats to watch the world go by – there is the perfect space for every get-together. As Christmas approaches, the warm, welcoming atmosphere has been dialled up to 100 with twinkling lights and festive touches at every turn.
After its short closure, The Waterside Inn reopens with a brand new, delicious menu. There is something to delight every day of the week with afternoon tea available daily, when pre-booked. Choose the Classic or why not indulge in the Tipsy Afternoon Tea with two glasses of prosecco or two cocktails per person, to accompany your delicious sandwiches, scones and desserts. On Sundays, The Waterside Inn is now serving Sunday roasts with all the trimmings and bottomless Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy. With all your favourite cuts of meat and a hearty mushroom wellington, there is something for everybody at the table.
However, you need not wait until Sunday for some fabulous food.
