A taste of Wimbledon Hill is coming to its town centre.

The avant-garde of developments, a project costing £350,000 has created Garratt & Gauge for the town’s aspiring professional, hipster, music lover and beer aficionado, whilst embracing the iconic weekend vibe of its transformed predecessor, Edwards.

The kind of bar everyone wishes they had in their neighbourhood, on the commute home, and for the warm up act of late night partying, it looks and feels every bit as suave as it does funky. Stripped back brickwork, reclaimed wood, urban and industrialised, it’s a definite windfall for the future of the town.

Open to customers for the first time Monday 6th November, a launch event is set to illuminate the stylish cuisine, on-trend drinks, and entertainment Thursday 16th November.

New opening hours from 10am breakfast to evening, a neon-lit shrine to ten craft beer and ciders – Camden Hells to Wimbledon Bravo, five real ales, ten lagers, a ginventory of fourteen botanicals, high-class sports offer, and live acts offer just a glimpse of the offer.

Ten new jobs have added to the enigmatic team of twenty. Manager Samantha Seale said: “Modern pub-goers don’t need to visit for a single occasion. Crafted drinks, cocktails, live music, sport, breakfast burgers or sourdough pizza, if you’re contemporary, sophisticated yet sometimes shabby-chic and occasionally glamorous, you’ll get the Garratt and Gauge!”

For a town big on sport, it’s befitting for three boxes showing Sky and BT Sport, big screen, ten TVs, re-emerging on-trend pool table yet sports table service to match the environment.

High energy late night weekend promise the Edwards vibe lives on whilst Sunday live acts introduce local talent alongside the essential Sunday roast. A range of cocktails help make post-work wind down worth a hard day, 2-4-1 Monday to Friday 5-8pm.

Sourdough pizzas, tempting tapas sharers and an enviable line up of desserts make for an edgy menu inclusive of the veggie, trendsetter, and crav-able burger lover. The Japanese Wagyu Beef Burger ticks all the foodgasm boxes with oozing molten cheese sauce, wrapped for extra juice and succulence whilst the Sundae Pint of ice-cream, brownie, Churros, flake, marshmallows, caramel and raspberry coulis is just a sample of some amazing treats.

There are different reasons to visit every day from food offers such as Wednesday wing day (10 fro £3) to 241 pizza Thursdays, drinks such as Sunday Craft Club 2 for £6 to Fizz Friday for £15 and a range of entertainment from sport to DJ and live music.
