Showcasing the traditional pub’s transformation, which has blended authentic character with a touch of chic, The Fox and Grapes will remain the destination of choice for visitors and locals alike, as it has done, for well over 200 years. After a nine day closure the pub will reopen to the public on 29th November ready to share a sprinkle of Christmas magic with its new sparkle.
A huge draw to those on the explore of the surrounding quaint, quintessentially English villages, the Fox and Grapes, with its traditional, tasty British classic fare is a destination in its own right, be it for the history buff or the passing tourist, the characteristic pub draws many from far and wide.
Contrary to Aesop’s fable there are definitely no sour grapes here, with a wine list boasting over 25 varieties coupled with a great range of ales, beers and an emporium of gins and whiskeys, favourite tipples are sure to be found by all.
Speaking of the investment, Lisa Clover, general manager said: “We’ve embraced our locality and found some fantastic pictures of our beloved Barwick in Elmett which roost the historic pub – it feels really homely. The open fire is especially cosy with the new open plan layout.”
The Fox and Grapes is introducing monthly music weekends with acoustic evenings and open mic nights. Pub quiz nights are on Thursdays at 8pm and the Festive 3 course Menu for £29.99 will be available alongside the regular and Sunday menu.
The Fox and Grapes opens everyday from 11:30am to 11:00 pm – closing at 10:30 on Sundays.
