Ex England captain Lewis ‘Mad Dog’ Moody gave words of wisdom to London locals at The Fox on the Green in Islington on the evening of Wednesday 15th March, whilst raising money for charity.

Lewis was asked burning questions from hopeful and budding players as well as die-hard fans. He stated “They have two chances with Ireland, become the only team to win two consecutive grand slams and then to take the win streak off the All Blacks”. Showing his support for their performance so far he added “If they get it right, they’ll get that win record!”.

Proceeds of the tickets were split between local children’s hospice Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, supporting children with life limiting and life threatening conditions, and The Lewis Moody Foundation. The money raised from the tickets combined with the charity auction of; a signed England rugby top, a signed rugby ball, two tickets to an autumn international game and a trip to Dublin with a tour of the GUINNESS brewery raised £1000 in total.

Lewis divulged his opinion of England’s first four games during the RBS 6Nations victories, who he thinks should form the Lions team boarding the plane to New Zealand in June and of course advice on arguably their hardest game yet, against Ireland on Irish soil, Saturday 18th.
