Friday 26 August, from 7:30pm – Sunday 28 August, from 1pm

The Brunswick Arms, Worcester has a whole host of entertainment planned for this August Bank Holiday Weekend, which is not to be missed.

Operator Julz and the Brunswick Arms team have been organising some exciting entertainment, which will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend, and everyone can get involved. On Friday 26 August, Julie will be hosting a quiz from 7:30pm, with questions prepared by local customer Vanessa Taylor. This is perfect to gather a team of your friends and family and put your knowledge to the test.

On Saturday 27 August, from 9pm there will be live music from Andy Ska. He is known for his 2Tone, ska and reggae tunes and will be bringing his one man show to The Brunswick Arms to perform all the hits on his saxophone and guitar. Come in with your friends and family and enjoy your favourite tipple paired with some great music. Also, why not pop in before and catch some of the sports going on throughout the day. The games will be shown on TVs located throughout the pub all with state-of-the-art surround sound systems.

Sunday 28 August is full of a range of entertainment throughout the day for the whole community to get involved in. From 1pm, you will need your winner’s luck as the game of the hour is Bingo. Grab a group of friends and see who gets lucky. At 2pm there is Jump the Pump, where you can buy raffle tickets, and if your number is selected you have two minutes to pull as many pints as possible from the taps on the bar without spilling anything. This is a lot of fun and gives everyone a chance to pull their own pint.

For those of you who have four legged friends, at 3pm there will be a Dog Show, where the audience will vote for first, second and third place. Julie will be making hampers for the top three dogs, and the winner will also receive a £50 Pets at Home voucher. The Dog Show is also in support of local customer Vanessa Taylor who is running a half marathon for the NSPCC. To end the day and a weekend of amazing entertainment, there will be live music from 5pm – 7pm by Camilla Lewington, who has played a number of gigs at the pub and is ready to get everyone up and dancing.

Throughout the weekend the pub will be holding a raffle where there will be a 50 inch TV up for grabs, all you have to do is purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win. The winner will be announced on Sunday after 7pm by Camilla Lewington.

Julz said: “The team and I have had so many ideas about what we could do for the bank holiday weekend and are so pleased and excited for everything that we have organised for you all. We have regular live music nights, and they always go down really well, so it is great to welcome Andy and Camilla for the weekend. With so much going on, there really is something for everyone to get involved with on Sunday, it is going to be a day full of fun in the community. We all look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the weekend and really hope to bring together the Worcester community this bank holiday.”
