Locals, holidaymakers and visitors alike can rejoice as Cleethorpes town centre receives a £165,000 investment welcoming a brand new pub to the high street, creating five new jobs.

The newly named the ‘Market Tavern’, replaces what was the Fiddlers in Cleethorpes, which closed its doors on the 19thJune. The transformed pub in all its new glory is ready to charm localswith quality sports and entertainment as its main focus.

HD screens with uninterrupted sports viewing, an expansion of cask ale, ample entertainment and stylish décor can be expected as the new look is revealed on Sunday 2ndJuly with a meet the brewer from Timothy Taylor on hand to wow guests.

Its bound to become THE place for sport in Cleethorpes with eight brand new HD screens, two projectors and a promise to screen all big games across Sky and BT sports. With table service, pre-bookings, sports food and niche sports like boxing, UFC and horseracing on tap, there’s nothing they haven’t thought of.

“It may sound colloquial but the Market Tavern is a traditional, proper pub with an offer that today’s pub goer demands. Reverting back to the origins of pub names, we’re re-instilling the principles of a pub name being synonymous with its surroundings,said General Manager Joshua Penny.

“Sport, great value food and community is our mantra and we are looking forward to launch the best sports pub in Cleethorpes”.

Beer lovers will be pleased with five rotating cask ales including beer from Batemans and Blackhorse. Bang on trend, the pub will also be joining the craft beer revolution, introducing Punk IPA and Blue Moon as well as Lilleys cider on tap. Capturing all tastes, cocktails will be 241 all day every day.

An extensive menu of over 100 combinations of dishes from salads, to traditional favourites, burgers, sharers and daily offers gears the Market Tavern up for locals and holidaymakers to flock in the warmer months. An everyday lunch and drink deal is available for £5.49, and there are two meals for £8.49 all day every day. Daily value offers Big Burger Bar Tuesday £5.49 to Saturday 5-dish Pick ‘n’ Mix Planks for £8.99.

Never short on atmosphere there’s a weekly line up of Monday Quiz, Tuesday Darts and pool, Wednesday retro games, Thursday the Market Taverns very own ‘Live at the Apollo’ Comedy night, Friday Karaoke, Saturday night party with DJ Steve gracing the decks and Super Sunday alongside a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings –a reason to visit every night of the week.
