Neighbourhood favourite pub, the British Oak in West Ardsley, re-opened its doors on the 17th May, with extensive renovations completed throughout. This follows a huge six-figure investment from award winning pub company Craft Union.

The pub also hosted an entertainment filled launch party across the bank holiday weekend 26th, 27th and 28th May, which saw live acts, DJs and hosts come together for a night filled with fun and fabulous tunes!

The much-loved local has had a full upgrade to its interior, from flooring to seating, to the bar itself. The existing look has had a full refresh and is now ready to welcome customers looking to enjoy drinks in their new-look neighbourhood hub with friends and family.

There’ll be no shortage of entertainment at the British Oak going forward, with the pub now hosting a huge range of activities ready to be enjoyed by old and new customers alike. These include Wednesday quiz night, so you can put your knowledge to the test with loved ones, an in-house DJ on Fridays as well as karaoke, live sports on Saturday and much more – so you can enjoy a whole host of entertaining picks throughout the week to brighten up those weekdays!

Jack Cooney, new operator at the British Oak, said: “We love the local area as residents ourselves, and feel we are already known in the local community. We have made great friends and connections in the village and can’t wait for them to see the new-look pub!”

The British Oak also boasts a huge media wall, which includes four screens in one, making viewing sports an enhanced experience, and with the pub now showing live sport, there’s no better spot to catch your favourite games!
