Now open, The Oxford is the epitome of a community pub with best in hospitality, entertainment and live sport. With a jam-packed events schedule, there is something planned for every night of the week. From bingo and free pool, to open mic nights and DJs, there is truly something for everyone.
This investment also brings a relatively new face behind the bar in Kate Phillips as the pub’s Operator. Kate has been at The Oxford for a couple of months prior to the refurbishment, she said: “I am so excited about this new chapter at the pub. Our new warm and friendly look has given the pub a new lease of life. When I moved to Bulwell, it was only supposed to be for two weeks, but that all changed when I fell in love with the area with this pub. I cannot wait to get to know our local community more.”
With the latest in audio-visual technology, this community pub is the place to catch all the sporting action on BT Sport and Sky across several TV screens around the pub. With a new pool table and illuminated darts board, guests can also enjoy some friendly competition over a drink or two.
Kate added: “We’ve got a fantastic schedule of entertainment on offer here. Between our events throughout the week to our live sport, there really is something for everyone. I cannot wait to work with the community in supporting local events and causes in the coming weeks and months.”
