The Phoenix in Tamworth is commemorating the First World War, by fundraising for the Help for Heroes charity, with Afternoon Tea and a Disco Raffle. The big fundraising day will run from lunchtime until late on Friday 27th June.
Afternoon Tea guests can indulge in a delectable platter of sandwiches, cream cakes and a pot of English tea. The delicious traditional selection of finger sandwiches include; Ham, Cheddar Cheese and Cucumber and Egg Mayonnaise, upon white bread. The Afternoon Tea will be served from midday until 5pm and is £7.45 for two people.
DJ Ross will take to the stage with a mix of chart dance and RnB at 7:00pm to kick-start the Disco Raffle. “Lucky customers will be in with the chance of winning an outstanding selection of prizes. Donated prizes include a paint ball experience for ten, tobogganing at the SnowDome and a £100 VIP booth at Players Bar and Club in Birmingham,” said, Louis Pointon, team leader at the Phoenix, which is owned and operated by the award winning Stonegate Pub Company.
“We are commemorating this milestone in history, but inviting the local community to help raise money for the worthy charity whilst having a extremely fun day. We have something for everyone to enjoy from cream cakes to tobogganing prizes.”
The Crabbie’s Route Master will be parked outside the pub and will be handing out goodies to customers throughout theevening.
