Congratulations to the Stonegate Accelerators!
Thursday 16th August saw the graduation of 28 Deputy Managers from Stonegate Pub Company’s Accelerator Programme. It marked the 20th cycle of the training course, that sees employees progress to managerial positions, while raising nearly £300,000 for UK Charities.
The graduation ceremony saw each participant present the culmination of their work over the last four months, to members of the Stonegate Learning and Development Team and HR Director, Tim Painter, before being presented with a certificate.
“We are delighted to see another fantastic group of Stonegate Deputy Managers successfully graduate from the Accelerator Programme,” said Tim. “The course is a pipeline of talented future managers, who not only understand our business, but our culture – which I believe to be a critical driver of our successful business strategy.
“At Stonegate Pub Company, we want to provide an environment for our employees to thrive and grow, and our award-winning training programmes clearly demonstrate our commitment to providing outstanding career opportunities.”
Each year the Accelerator Programme takes around 125 Deputy Managers onto the course, designed to give employees the tools to bridge the gap between Deputy Manager and General Manager, through education and dynamic group learning. The course aims to build the participant’s confidence, encourage continued independent learning and help them to work together effectively as team.
Nine of this month’s graduates will move straight into managerial positions, as a result of their outstanding efforts during the course.
