The popular Navigation pub in Altrincham has reopened to offer guests the very best of British hospitality, following a six-figure investment into this community pub by Craft Union Pub Company.

The pub on Manchester Road is a popular spot for residents in the area as well as for visitors to the town centre and nearby retail park.

It is one of the few pubs in the country to have its very own lawn bowls green in the back garden and both organised teams and customers will be able to enjoy the facilities.

New Operator Hayley Asgill said: “We have teams using the lawn bowls green during the season five days a week and we can’t wait to welcome them back to the pub. We are also planning some fun matches between other customers and the teams.”

Sport plays an important role at The Navigation, which celebrated its re-opening with a launch party. The pub has multiple screens inside and out and it shows both Sky Sports and BT Sport as well as huge events such as the FIFA World Cup. The Navigation also has a pool team and is planning on holding race nights and poker events. Not forgetting the installation of a new darts board for some friendly competition over a drink.

Customers can also enjoy a programme of live music, karaoke, and quiz nights. Many of the events will raise money for local causes, with Hayley in discussions with customers about which charities to support.

Hayley continued: “We like to listen and let our guests lead. This is a community pub and if our customers want to do something we will do our best to make it happen, within reason! I’m really excited to get started here and we want this to be a place where everyone in the community from all walks of life can come to relax and enjoy themselves.”

The pub is part of the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, which was named the Best Community Operator at the 2022 Publican Awards. It has invested more than £136,000 in The Navigation so it can continue to provide that award-winning service and hospitality to the people of Altrincham.

Work includes transforming the exterior to make it brighter and more inviting with enhancements to the garden, creating additional seating areas inside to improve the overall customer experience, and making improvements to the service areas.

The drinks menu has been extended so customers can enjoy a wide range of flavoured gins and vodkas as well as an array of beers, ciders, wines, and soft drinks.  With the Craft Union Order & Pay app, customers can simply order drinks from their seats, and they will be delivered to the table – it’s hassle-free, secure, and super easy! The Navigation is also family and dog friendly.

Keep up to date with all the events and offers on the pub’s website and Facebook page.
