Over the coming Easter weekend The William Bourne pub on Moor Lane in Chessington willbe hosting a charity fundraising event in aid of The Royal Marsden Hospital.

The friendly and relaxed pub is delivering a weekend of fun for families, in particular the younger guests. On Saturday and Sunday from 12pm – 3pm there will be egg painting, face painting, mask making, decorating and a colouring-in competition, and from 12’o clock on Sunday a giant Easter egg hunt will commence in the pub’s garden.

Customers will be able to support the charity by purchasing raffle tickets for £2, for a chance to win in a prize draw which will take place on Sunday 21st at 6pm. Generous local businesses have donated various prizes, from Easter eggs and giant Easter egg vouchers, Prosecco, wine, cakes, a signed rugby shirt, a pool cue, golf clubs and a hamper full of toiletries, amongst other things!

Chloe Tomassi, Deputy Manager of the William Bourne, organised the event to support the work that The Royal Marsden Hospital does towards treating cancer patients.

Chloe said: “I chose to fundraise for the hospital, because cancer is an issue that touches so many people. It’s also a place close to my heart due to a family member having been treated there. We are aiming to raise at least £1,000 over the Easter weekend.”
