On 22nd – 25th August, the Beckfields pub on the Ingleby Barwick estate in Teesside, will hold a family fun charity weekender, with all proceeds of the events going to Macmillan Nurses.
General manager, George Campbell said: “We are very excited about our four days of fun, and we are also very proud to support Macmillan Nurses. We want to bring the community together and we are certain that this will be a memorable weekend for all! We have long supported this charity, having raised £12,500 for them over the past few years.”
The fun will start with a quiz night on Thursday evening at 9.30pm, where guests can take part for £1 and win a case or a gallon of beer. On Friday 23rd August, pub team member, Callum, will be hosting the John Smith’s Race Night from 8.30pm, with tickets selling at £5 – which includes a £1 bet on the night and a tasty burger with chips.
Following the initial days of fun activity, Saturday 24th August promises live music from six different local bands; including headliner Davey Bandman. Families can enjoy a bouncy castle and slide and even an inflatable paintball range! For those feeling daring, the team have also put up a climbing wall.
Guests will be able to relax and enjoy the day, starting from 11am and running through until 8.30pm, eating delicious barbeque food – which will be operated by the pub alongside Richard Willis, owner of the famed Hog Roast by Swine Dining – or bask in the sun with a delectable treat from the ice-cream van.
The evening’s entertainment will finish off at 9.30pm, with entertainer Alex from Flamin’ Good Night taking the stage, determined to thrill guests with his skills in fire breathing, stilt walking and, weather permitting, a bit of pyro technics!
