The Foresters Arms, beloved high street venue in Ashley Down, is set to re-open after undergoing a transformative make-over, thanks to a substantial 6-figure investment from the fastest growing operator led pub company, Craft Union. Scheduled to welcome guests tomorrow, Wednesday 6th March, the Foresters Arms is set to offer an elevated new look and feel for regulars and new faces alike. The pub will also be hosting an entertainment-packed launch party across the weekend of 15th, 16th and 17th March.
The revitalised community favourite will boast a range of new amenities, with the pub now offering a notable, enhanced sports viewing experience, with multiple brand-new HD TVs, which will be showcasing TNT and Sky Sports. As well as this, guests can look forward to student nights, live music performances, and an array of entertainment options!
Newly installed features will include a brand-new dart board, perfect for friendly competitions and social gatherings. The interior has also received a refreshing update throughout, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy the new-look space with friends, family and refreshing drink in hand.

With a wealth of experience gained as the assistant manager at popular local pub The Rising Sun, Jacob Hutchinson, new Operator at the Foresters Arms is excited to take on the pub as the next step in his career. Drawing on his expertise and strong local support network, Jacob is excited to bring a fresh energy to the Foresters Arms, with knowledge carried over from his previous establishments, such as a vibrant student community and sports emphasis, with both of his sites having been in close proximity to a local football ground.
The pub has also brought in a brand-new entertainment schedule for guests to get involved in, with a Charity Jukebox, Quiz Union, Darts Team and Music Bingo throughout the week, and notably, their upcoming Friday and Saturday night karaoke and live entertainment, which will showcase a range of musicians, and live performers, which local guests can enjoy with friends and family. As the week comes to a close, guests can enjoy a Talk Sport Quiz on Sunday from 7pm.
The entertainment won’t stop there, as the pub also has a grand launch weekend planned, with a fun-filled range of events taking place across the 15th, 16th and 17th March. Friday will kick the weekend off with a live DJ, and give-aways taking place, onto Saturday which will showcase live local music, with fire breathers, stilt walkers and a free buffet. To round off the weekend of fun, Sunday will see ‘Irish Bingo’ and live music entertainment. Guests are encouraged to come down and enjoy all the entertainment and to celebrate the opening in style!
