Samantha-Jayne, General Manager of The Faraday in Epsom, is celebrating 10 incredible years of working at Stonegate pubs with a festive, celebratory party. Taking place this month, the party is set to be a night to remember, with free-flowing drinks and all the pub guests, family and friends who have played a huge part in Samantha’s special decade-long journey set to attend.
Starting as Bar Staff at The Green Dragon in Croydon, Samantha has climbed her way up through the ranks to become the outstanding General Manager that she is today. Having finished University with a degree in Fashion Styling, Samantha got a job at the Green Dragon originally simply as a job to pay the bills, however she quickly came to realise that she had a true passion for working at pubs.
After developing her passion for hospitality, Samantha moved on to become team leader, before leaving the Green Dragon to become an Assistant Manager at The Steam Passage Islington, where she was able to develop her leadership skills and gain further knowledge about the hospitality sector, and how to engage with a larger team.
In 2021 Samantha took the plunge, and moved up to General Manager from Deputy Manager and hasn’t looked back since. The engaging atmosphere across her workplace is what drew Samantha into working in pubs, but it is also what has kept her passionate about her role for so long after forming close relationships with her colleagues.
To celebrate the massive milestone, Samantha and the team at The Faraday are hosting a 10-year party combined with a Christmas party where the drinks will be flowing, and Samantha will be able to celebrate and reminisce on her last 10 years at Stonegate with her closest family and friends.
From getting her first site, to learning key skills from her General Managers, Samantha has formed many fond memories over the last 10 years which she keeps a record of in a memory book to look back on. Samantha hopes to create many more memories in the coming years and is looking forward to new challenges that lay ahead in the pub sector.
Samantha said: “These last 10 years have been incredible; I have learned so much and progressed more than I ever thought I would. My previous General Managers have been the pillar for my success and passion for the industry. I love managing my team and giving them the same support that I received, and I can’t wait for my coming years as a General Manager!”
The Faraday is hosting lots of Christmas events this year, including a Christmas Carol-oke every Thursday to sing along to some hit Christmas classics, along with a ‘Champagne Supernova’ Christmas Eve party!
