Work is underway at a much-loved Hellesdon pub as it reveals it will be changing back to its former name, The Bull.

The new name and signage are part of an overall month-long, £479,000 refurbishment of the pub. Customers can look forward to a return of live TV sports in the pub, a brilliant drinks menu and great pub food with highlights being the traditional Sunday roasts with all the trimmings and delicious afternoon teas alongside classic pub dishes so all appetites and occasions are catered for.

General manager at The Bull, Miranda Northern said: “This is such an exciting time for this great, friendly community pub. It’s still referred to as The Bull by so many people around here that it makes perfect sense to bring back the name officially.”

The pub will be open daily and serving a wonderful choice of lunches, afternoon teas and dinners.

Miranda said: “There is a whole lot of work going on inside and out at the moment and it will be so worthwhile. The pub will look brilliant. We are keeping all the character of a traditional pub and adding top-quality food, drinks, TV sports, entertainment and service which customers today expect and deserve. We are bringing in new food and drinks menus with an emphasis on fresh and local produce and products. Our local ales, afternoon teas and Sunday roasts will be really something to enjoy. The Bull will be a must-visit pub. Roll on July! We can’t wait till we are open and can welcome everyone back in.”

The Bull will reopen on July 4th with a grand launch event on July 8th. Keep an eye out on the pub’s Facebook for the latest news and offers.
