The pub’s commendable efforts form part of Craft Union’s Pub Company’s ‘Make it a Million’ fundraising campaign, in which they aim to reach a total of £1 million in charity donations across its band of pubs nationwide.
The ‘Make it a Million’ endeavour follows Craft Union’s attempt to smash their fundraising results last year, in which they drummed up a whopping £800,000 for a wide range of touching causes. The leading pub company is keen to exceed this awesome number and reach a staggering £1 million across its extensive UK pub network by February 2025.
Well-loved local, the Star, is one example of a Craft Union pub that is already flourishing in its efforts to raise much-needed funds for multiple local charities. The community favourite recently offered their support to Horsham Matters, a local foodbank that has supported the community for 10 years, in their ‘Charity Chase’ fundraiser. The Star welcomed the Horsham Matters gang with a fun-filled bottle challenge to get the action going in support of a great cause. Members of the local Horsham community and a range of other local businesses got involved with the event, which saw the much-loved local reach a fantastic £2,500 in donations.
